Why Choose Ground Burial

Why Choose Ground Burial?

If your family has chosen cremation, we offer affordable services that help celebrate the life of your loved one while giving you several options for a public gathering, and a final resting place.

Full Casket Ground Burial

When you choose ground burial for your loved one’s final resting place, you’re giving your family a place to find comfort and renew cherished memories. Since 1892, Park Lawn Cemetery cemeteries have provided Toronto families with the assurance that their loved ones can be buried close to each other for generations to come. Your Park Lawn Cemetery Counsellor will help you choose a grave space appropriate to your family’s needs now and in the future.

Burial Vaults

A well-designed burial vault plays an important role at the cemetery as the final resting place for the casket. The purpose of the burial vault is to protect the casket from the outside elements and the pressure from the natural settling of the earth.

Memorialization

Memorials are for the living, providing a permanent place for families to reconnect and honor the impact their loved one had on the family, community, or even the world.

Park Lawn Cemetery memorials can be designed as upright monuments or flat markers. Granite is a popular choice because of its beauty, durability, and carving characteristics. Bronze has a distinctive beauty and is used by artists to create masterpieces of sculpture and design.  Flat markers are installed flush with the ground and can be fitted with a permanent flower vase.

Each Park Lawn Cemetery memorial is completed by skilled craftsmen able to turn a piece of stone or bronze into an enduring legacy for generations to come. Our Counsellors will help you choose and design the perfect memorial for your loved one. Available in all sizes, shapes, and styles, upright monuments are installed on a cement foundation and come with a granite base.

Lot: A single burial space that provides room for two caskets; one on top of the other.
